臺灣日本古典武術文化推廣發展協會
Taiwan Association for the Cultivation of Japanese Classical Martial Arts
The Taiwan Association for the Cultivation of Japanese Classical Martial Arts (TACJ) is a legal, non-profit organization founded for the purposes of celebrating and promoting classical Japanese martial arts culture. (內政部111年台內團字第1110019947號函)
Our vision is informed by our reverence for classical culture, which we believe to be essential to a proper understanding and appreciation of Japanese martial arts. On the one hand, we will strive to transmit accurate and reliable knowledge to the general public. On the other hand, we wish, through intercultural and interdisciplinary exchanges, to preserve the wisdom of our past for future generations.
To realize our vision, TACJ has identified the following objectives:
-
The study of classical Japanese martial arts;
-
The instruction of classical martial arts, including the training of martial arts instructors and practitioners;
-
The organization and hosting of exhibitions, events and seminars pertaining to the promotion of classical martial arts;
-
The collection and publication of texts relating to classical Japanese martial arts;
-
The collection and conservation of objects related to classical Japanese martial arts;
-
Assisting the public, both individual and organizational, in documenting and registering cultural property pertaining to classical Japanese martial arts;
-
Facilitating interdisciplinary exchanges in Taiwan and abroad;
-
Supporting other programs that reflect TACJ’s vision.
We warmly welcome anyone who shares in our vision to support and/or collaborate with us. Please check out our “Annual Calendar” for more information on this year’s events. For upcoming events, please refer to our “News” section. We look forward to meeting you soon!
